• Year 4 footballers progress to County Cup Finals Night

  Well done to the Y4 boys' football team. They enjoyed a great debut at the Sports Village and played some fantastic football to ease through the first round. In the three group games, we beat Longnor 2-0 in the first games, followed by a 1-0 win over Mereside. We played a very impressive Oakmeadow in a battle for top spot in our last game. We drew 0-0 which meant we finished equal top. Two wins, a draw and three clean sheets. This group of Y4 boys have great potential to win trophies for Mount Pleasant in the future. Finals night takes place in February. A special mention to two players: goalie Ollie Green who was absolutely superb in the last game to keep Oakmeadow out and also Leighton Groves who produced a fine finish to get on the score sheet in the first game.

• Cross Country success

  Congratulations to our Year 3/4 Boys and Girls Cross Country teams who competed in yesterday's Shrewsbury Games tournament. They travelled on the minibus with Mrs Cotterill and Mrs Sutcliffe to Mereside Primary. Both girls teams came second in the final placings out of 10 schools who competed and one of the boys teams came third. This is, by some distance, our best ever Cross Country result. The children will be sharing this news with all in this Friday's Award Assembly. Well done to all.

  Join our School Lottery before 22nd December and you could win a family ticket to the Harry Potter Studio's Tour. Anyone can register and support us so we would love parents, staff, relatives and members of the local community to join in. All profits go into our School Fund and are currently being used to complete essential work in our Forest School.

   

  The lottery is drawn on a weekly basis, with a guaranteed prize for one lucky ticket holder. The more people who buy tickets, the bigger the prize! Ticket holders also get the chance to win £25,000 in a separate draw.
