  • Launch of Buddy Reading

Tue 16 Jan 2018 Alison Benge
Buddy Reading has started in KS1 and 2 today.  Children of different ages are paired up to read together, share books and foster a love of reading.  Quarry, Porthill, Castle and Attingham all took part today.  Others will have a session later in the week.  We're excited that this is now going to be a weekly fixture and the children all seemed to love it!  Some of the oldest children went down to Nursery to learn how to share stories using a story sack.

  • U10s Girls Football Team Progress To The Next Round!

    Fri 05 Jan 2018

Huge well done to the U10s girls football team who played at the Sports Village on Wednesday 3rd January.

The girls played four challenging games and the results were as followed...

0-0 against Harlescott Junior School, we won 2-1 against Longden two fantastic goals from Jess! Lost 0-1 against Greenfields with their goal coming in the two couple of minutes, very unlucky and finally a 0-0 draw against Oxon.

It was a cold, windy night at the Sports Village but the girls had a smile on their faces throughout!

They have managed to qualify for the next round in March, the first time in two years since the club started that the girls team have moved into the next round, well done girls!
