  • KS1 Musical

    After learning all the songs word perfectly, children from Severn, Meadow and Porthill classes performed on Thursday evening. Their behaviour was exemplary and their singing, amazing.  Well done children - parents and staff were very proud of you! 
  • More Gymnastics Success

    This time pupils from Year 1 and 2 took part in the School Games Gymnastics Competition, performing a floor and bench routine.  Everyone involved did a fantastic job, receiving bronze, silver and gold certificates.  We were also given the overall schools award - well done girls!  A special mention to Mollie Cotterill, who helped as a young leader.
  • School Games Orienteering Competition

    Well done to the 12 children who represented Mount Pleasant at  the School Games Orienteering Competition.  The A and C teams both came 2nd in their group. The B team placed 5th in their group. Fantastic results!!  We were also the 1st school to have all of their teams back.
  • Year 3 and 4 Boys and Girls Football Tournament

    Our children took part in the first 'Montford MUGA Football Tournament' along with Greenfields, Radbrook and Mereside. They all gave 110% and enjoyed participating in competitive fixtures. Well done to both teams. Special well done to the boys team who were joint winners with Greenfields.

    Darwin Class had 100% attendance last week so Markus Allin has been learning with us this week. He is having lots of fun.
  • EYFS NUMICON PIE SESSION

    Abbey and Darwin Classes held a Parent Information Session on Wednesday 6th March to show how we use Numicon to develop early numeracy skills.
  • Sporting success

    Our gymnastics B team represented Shrewsbury at the County School Games and placed 2nd in the competition.  All the hard work and determination has paid off.  They were also given the award for best Sportsmanship and Team Spirit.  Well done girls!!

     

    A special mention for Louis Roberts who also represented Shrewsbury in the County School Games for Cross Country. He came 3rd out of the Shrewsbury team, with the team placing 4th overall.

    We have been learning to spell Year 1 and Year 2 Common Exception Words in lots of fun ways this week!

    We have created a spelling activity sheet to encourage fun ways we can practice our spellings at home, please find this in the back of your child's reading diary, please find it below along with some photos of Severn, Meadow and Porthill enjoying!
