  • Hot Chocolate Friday

    The last Hot Chocolate Friday of January! Ten more children enjoyed their hot chocolate with Mrs Benge. Some of the lovely reasons they were chosen this week were:

    "For great stickability and attitude to her work."

    "For a super attitude towards her learning and increased confidence to share ideas."

    "For consistently coming up with insightful ideas in lessons."

    "For setting a great example to her house and for always being ready to learn."

    "For being a really good friend to another child and helping her grow in confidence."

     

    Well done and have a great weekend!

  • Reading Suitcases

    We are so pleased that the children are just as excited by our new reading suitcases as we are! Children are chosen from each class to take the Reading Suitcase home, it contains a story, biscuits, hot chocolate and a puppet pal for you to share. 

    If your child brings home the suitcase please snuggle up with them and enjoy! 

  • KS2 Gymnastics Competition

    Congratulations to all the pupils who took part in the KS2 School Games Gymnastics Competition at the Sports Village.  All the gymnasts performed a floor routine and vault and received individual certificates.  The B team placed 5th overall, and the A team won.  They will now progress on to repressent Shrewsbury at the County School Games on 3rd March.
  • Safer School meeting cancellation

    Unfortunately, due to unforseen illness the Safer Schools meeting which was due to be held on Tuesday 28th January has been cancelled. 

    It will be rescheduled in due course.

  • Hot Chocolate Friday

    Another 10 lucky children had hot chocolate with Mrs Benge this afternoon, they were chosen by their class teachers for going above and beyond. Some of the lovely reasons this week were:

     

    "For her excellent writing in Literacy. She used her phonics knowledge to write a list of things to take to the Arctic."

    "For fantastic effort during music and showing real enjoyment for the lesson."

    "For displaying a good attitude towards all lessons but especially Maths."

    "For his excellent sporting attitude and engagement in PE and for his positivity - always smiling!"

    "For being a very good friend and for her growing confidence. She has a great sense of humour and an infectious giggle!"

     

    Well done! 

  • U11 Boys Football

    Huge well done to the U11 boys football team who competed in the final group stage of the County Cup at Sports Village this week. They played 6 games and managed to get 9 points. Unfortunately they have just missed out on making the final. There was some fantastic football played and great team work shown. Well done boys.

    It's that day of the week again, time for another Hot Chocolate Friday!

    The children have all been working very hard this week and one child from each class was chosen to enjoy hot chocolate with Mrs Benge. Some of the lovely reasons why were:

    "For a super attitude towards all aspects of learning. She has settled into Mount Pleasant Primary School really well!"
    "For always trying his best and setting a great example of always listening and following instructions."

    "For completing additional work at home to further her understanding of factors."

    "For making a superb contribution in our class discussion. Great understanding of vocabulary."

  • Bag2School date change

    There has been a change in collection date for the Bag2School bags, can all donation bags please be brought to the office on Wednesday 29th January. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

    Mon 13 Jan 2020

    All children should have taken home a Bag2School collection bag with them on Friday. This can be filled with good quality clothes, soft toys, belts, handbags and shoes and returned to school on Monday 27th January before 9am. All bags will be collected by the bike shelter.
