Welcome to Flaxmill

There is a very high expectation placed on your child to try their best and show the ’Mount Pleasant Way’ at all times. Mistakes will always happen, friendship fallouts are guaranteed but being kind, respectful and tolerant is the minimum requirement for every child in Flaxmill class. If there are any concerns with regards your child in relation to other children, please do keep an open mind at all times as there are always different perspectives — I am always readily available by email for any queries or concerns. The email for Flaxmill class is:

Please remember to check your app messages (or emails) regularly to keep up to date with class news.

PE is due to take place on a Tuesday & Wednesday. However there will be times that PE also takes place on Monday's and Friday's so you may deem it more appropriate to send your child in with their PE kit on a Monday and for them to bring it home on a Friday to be washed.

We will be reading in school every day and encourage children to read at home regularly-both independently and with an adult. We are always grateful for your continued support.

Please ensure your child brings a water bottle to school each day.

I'm sure this year will be memorable for the right reasons - I can't wait to get started and help the pupils of Flaxmill with their journey from Y6 to Y7.
