• Summer Fair

  Thank you for supporting our school Summer Fair on Friday. The performers had clearly been putting in a lot of effort and were incredible to watch. There was lots of fun to be had on the games stalls and the ice cream and candyfloss went down a treat!
  We raised a grand total of £1798.75!

• KS1 School Games

  Ten pupils from Year 2 enjoyed a wonderful day at the KS1 School Games.  They all participated in athletics activities, parachute games and ball skills.  They also got to meet the Mayor of Shrewsbury.

  

• Nesscliffe visit

  Porthill had a fantastic trip to Nesscliffe hill. We explored different areas and observed what we could see from Oliver's viewpoint.

  

• More sporting succes - mini tennis competition

  The School Games continued - with 2 teams from Year 5/6 competing in the tri-golf, placing 4th and 13th.  We also had a Year 3/4 team enter the mini-tennis competition, and play particularly well, to place 2nd.  They will now go onto the County School Games to represent Shrewsbury. 

  

• Governors Writing Competition

  The winners from our Governors Writing Competition went with Mrs Benge this morning to choose their prizes at Waterstones. A massive congratulations to the children who won and to all that took part! 

  

• Sporting Success

  Fantastic sucess at the School Games. The dodgeball team played some challenging games against 14 other teams, but performed very well to secure 1st place and are through to the County School Games in July.  The archery team also performed well, and placed 3rd out of 16 teams.  Well done to all the children involved, super proud.

  

• Squash

  12 boys from year 5 and 6 attended a squash session at Shrewsbury Squash Club.  They all enjoyed learning new skills and playing some fast paced games.  They will attend one more session before playing in a small tournament.
