• Big Build 2016

  Everyone has been busy building today.  Staff from Aspect Construction (the company managing the build of our new classrooms) worked alongside children, teaching them about how bricks are laid and the ways buildings are constructed.  In classes, children used a wide variety of materials to construct towers, bridges, tall structures and strong structures.  As well as using conventional construction kits such as Lego and K'nex, we used more unusual building materials like spaghetti, marshmallows, jelly beans, cocktail sticks, straws and tape.  

  Lots of fun was had by all and Ivor Goodsite made lots of new friends!

  Christmas Shoebox appeal 2016

   

  A big thank you for all of your kind donations and gifts for our Christmas Shoebox appeal.

  Together as a school we managed to fill 62 shoeboxes!! The children have enjoyed wrapping and packing the shoeboxes to ensure they were ready to be delivered to the local drop off point.
  We shall look forward to the new year to find out where our shoeboxes have been delivered to.

• Girls Football

  Huge congratulations to the Girls Football team who entered their first tournament on Wednesday at the Sports Village.

  The girls showed great enthusiasm and team spirit. We played two other schools, enjoyed both games and learnt a lot from our first competitive game. Unfortunately we did not make it through to the next stage of the competition but the girls had a great evening. We shall continue to train after school on a Wednesday and look forward to our next tournament in the new year.

  There will be an opportunity for others to join the team in the new year as the club will continue to run after Christmas.
