Year 4 footballers progress to County Cup Finals Night
Well done to the Y4 boys' football team. They enjoyed a great debut at the Sports Village and played some fantastic football to ease through the first round. In the three group games, we beat Longnor 2-0 in the first games, followed by a 1-0 win over Mereside. We played a very impressive Oakmeadow in a battle for top spot in our last game. We drew 0-0 which meant we finished equal top. Two wins, a draw and three clean sheets. This group of Y4 boys have great potential to win trophies for Mount Pleasant in the future. Finals night takes place in February. A special mention to two players: goalie Ollie Green who was absolutely superb in the last game to keep Oakmeadow out and also Leighton Groves who produced a fine finish to get on the score sheet in the first game.
