• Hot Chocolate Friday

  We have had another lovely Hot Chocolate Friday today. Some of the fantastic reasons the children were chosen this week are:

  "For always having a smile on her face and a willing can do attitude."

  "For showing an interest in all that we do - he notices objects and events around him and asks insightful questions."

  "For continuing to make great strides with his handwriting. A fantastic improvement."

  "For supporting others to develop better swimming strokes in a very mature manner."

• Finding Your Way

  As you know, we use the 'Finding Your Way' programme to teach our pupils about the six big feelings and support the development of mental health and wellbeing. We were delighted to be involved in the making of this film, explaining the importance of the programme. • Squash tournament

  Children from Year 4 and 5 took part in a Squash tournament at Shrewsbury Squash Club against Radbrook, Greenfields and Newtown.  They all played extremely well and placed 3rd overall.

• KS2 County Gymnastics Competition

  The KS2 A team gymnasts went on to represent Shrewsburry at the County School Games.  They performed a floor routine, body management routine and a vault.  All girls worked extremely hard and they placed 2nd overall which is a fantastic result for the school and Shrewsbury.  They also had the chance to meet Di Carrington, Energise Champion, who is recently back from rowing the Atlantic as a team of 3 ladies.

  

• Film Night **Tickets On Sale Now**

  Tickets for our Mount Pleasant Film Night are available online on School Money. They will be available to buy until Thursday 5th March at 4pm. 

  Film Night will be held on Monday 9th March, straight after school until 5pm. The children will be watching the film 'Inside Out'. 

  Tickets cost £3 each, this entitles each child to a drink, chocolate bar and a bag of crisps. 

  Children who have attended film night can be collected at 5pm from the main office. 

   

  

• Mount Pleasant Book Swap

  As it is World Book Day this week we have organised our own Mount Pleasant Book Swap.
  Children simply need to bring in one book that they no longer want and they can swap it for one that they would like. Books can be brought in from tomorrow and the class teachers will ensure anyone who brings in a book can swap it for a new one.
