Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
We are very proud of one of our Year 4 pupils who attended an award ceremony on Friday for the Shropshire Young Thinkers competition.
Pupils were asked to design a Darwin emblem to represent Shrewsbury, there were over 400 entries, which were then whittled down to just 20 - those children were invited to the ceremony where prizes were awarded.
A huge well done, we are so proud that one of our pupils has done so well!
Happy Hot Chocolate Friday! More children have been chosen to enjoy hot chocolate with Mrs Benge this afternoon. Some of the lovely reasons for them being chosen this week are:
"For working very hard to improve his independence whilst completing tasks. Very mature attitude."
"For showing great effort in phonics and writing his name. He is really reaching for the stars!"
"For great contributions to whole class History discussions and really improving concentration during Maths lessons."
"For always setting the right example - you are a very reliable member of the class."
"For his excellent effort in all lessons. he always listens, follows instructions and is a great role model."
Well done and have a fantastic weekend!
All children will be coming home with a drawing/colouring competition from Furrows to design 'The Car of the Future'. Please bring all entries into school by Thursday 27th February, Furrows will announce the winner on 16th March.
There will be two winners (one 5-7 year old category and one from 8-11 year old category) from each Furrows dealership, each winner will receive £50 of book vouchers for their school library.
Time to get creative!
This week is Children's Mental Health week and the theme this year is 'Find Your Brave'.
In assembly and in class we have been discussing what bravery is, how it feels when you have been brave and some of the children have shared the bravest things which they have done.
Some of the Year 6 children took part in a spelling bee in front of the rest of the school today, we think this is very brave and we are very proud of them.
Discuss with your child what it means to be brave and ask them what brave things they have done.

Please see below 'healthy lunchbox builder' information. This would be great to share with your child if they bring a packed lunch to school, why not try to get them involved with choosing and preparing their lunch.
