  • Hot Chocolate Friday

    It's Hot Chocolate Friday time! Ten more hardworking children were chosen to enjoy hot chocolate and biscuits. Some of the reasons which they were chosen were:

    "For showing perseverance when junk modelling, she took two days getting her model just right."

    "For always showing a positive attitude to his learning and being a good role model."

    "For a great attitude to the challenges this week."

    "For much greater focus this week - it's great to see that you can do it!"

  • Christmas Tree

    Mrs Blake took our 'Mount Pleasant Buddies' to Leaton Farm to choose our school Christmas tree. It is now looking very beautiful after they helped to decorate it with the lovely baubles that the children have made. 
  • Shrewsbury Food Hub

    Thu 05 Dec 2019

    Shrewsbury Food Hub will be running Festive Foodshare Tables throughout the holidays (23rd December to 3rd January) at 4 locations. They expect there to be lots of surplus so everyone is welcome to take food from these on a pay-as-you feel basis. See attached leaflet for dates and venues. 

     

    OsNosh/SFH Community meals will be hosting two community meals taking place on 21st & 28th December at Shrewsbury United Reformed Church. Anyone can come along at 12 noon for a two course sit down meal on a pay-as-you-feel basis. The previous ones have been very tasty!

     

    Shrewsbury Food Hub are also running a 'Big Give Big Breakfast' campaign, raising money for healthy breakfasts for Shrewsbury's school children. Any money donated in this week through the Big Give website will be DOUBLED!

  • U9s Football

    Huge well done to the U9s football team who finished top of their group on a cold night at the Sports Village. Great team work and performances shown by all, we look forward to the next round after Christmas. 
  • Macmillan Coffee and Cake Event

    Our school council pupils have organised a Festive Coffee and Cake event to raise money for Macmillan. 

    It will be held on the playground on Thursday 12th December from 2.30pm. 

    We would greatly appreciate donations of cakes for this event, if they can be brought to school on the morning of the 12th that would be fantastic.

     

    As always we appreciate your help and support and hope to see as many of you there as possible. 

  • Poppy Appeal

  • Normanton Retirement Home

    Well done to Mrs Allen-Brown's singing group who performed at Normanton Retirement Home yesterday. They all sang and behaved beautifully, the residents thoroughly enjoyed the performance! 
  • Paper Plate Competition

    We are running a Festive Paper Plate Competition, the plates are available from your child's classroom.They simply need to bring in £1 to class, collect their paper plate, take it home to decorate it then bring it back to school by Thursday 12th December.

     

    If your child has already been given a paper plate which they have not yet paid for and they wish to enter the competition, please send £1 with them to class. If your child DOES NOT wish to enter then simply return the plate to class. 

     

    There are some fantastic prizes which will be awarded to the winning entries for EYFS, KS1 and KS2. 

     

    Time to get creative!
