Pupil Premium Expenditure

For the year 2012/13, we received £43,600 from the government to ensure that those pupils who are in receipt of free school meals, are looked after or are from service families make good academic progress. The additional funding has been spent on employing two full-time qualified learning mentors, a part-time family support worker and seven volunteer reading helpers. These adults work with the pupils and their families, giving extra tuition and support that successfully removes the barriers to learning. Our 2012 end of KS2 SAT results show that the pupils who received the support of these adults made better than average progress and as much progress as other pupils in the school.
