Y6 Football Success
Congratulations to the school football team for winning the 'League Kids Cup' sponsored by Shrewsbury Town Football Club. After losing our first game, we showed great determination to then win our two remaining group games and qualify for the final. In a very keenly-contested final, Ashley Edwards (our goalkeeper) was in inspired form and really made the difference. A well-taken, counterattack goal from Tyler Morgan turned out to be the decisive moment. The final finished with Mount Pleasant beating St Georges (Telford) one-nil. We now represent Shrewsbury Town FC at a national tournament at Bradford City's ground. Well done boys.
