Governors' Star Writers - December 2015
Poetry was our task this term. We were asked to think about the theme ‘Morning’ and write a Haiku. This is a three-line Japanese poem, following the syllable pattern 5 – 7 – 5. Some of the younger children wrote their own three line poem creating some wonderful images about waking up in their own homes.
Each year group had a different focus – some looked at a picture showing the morning sunrise, whilst others thought about their own mornings and the chaos they involve!
The governors found the judging very hard, choosing to award two prizes in some year groups.
