Reception September 2024 - Induction information

 

National offer day for Reception places is on 16th April and we are delighted that you have been given a place for your child to start at Mount Pleasant Primary School. So, what happens now?  There is no need to contact us, we will be int ouch with you to begin the induction process.  The information below sets out what will happen over the coming weeks and months.  Please take a note of key dates and set aside times in your diaries for when we invite you into school.  If you continue to scroll down, you'll find all the information you need, to begin to get ready for starting school.  We're really excited to meet you all and begin this very exciting journey together.

School uniform

 

School uniform must be worn by all pupils.  We have an excellent 'uniform swap shop' on site which provides parents with the opportunity to donate good quality uniform they no longer need for anyone who needs it to take.  If you are in receipt of Free School Meals we will provide your child with a set of uniform free of charge. Please come and talk to us if you are unsure whether you are eligible for this.

New uniform is available to purchase from School Shop Direct on Featherbed Lane. Our uniform comprises of:

  • royal blue sweatshirt
  • pale blue blouse or polo shirt
  • royal blue cardigans
  • grey or black trousers or skirts (short or long) 
  • black shoes of a light, comfortable style without a high heel
  • plain t shirt, black/navy shorts and trainers for P.E.

In the summer, girls may wear blue & white gingham dresses.
