Welcome to Porthill Class

Enjoying the adventure playground during our golden time this afternoon

In PE we have been doing some gymnastics, this week we focused on creating shapes with our body. Can you spot the letters and numbers we created?

This week our COOL time challenges have been ‘Friendship challenges’

In History we have been learning about Charles Darwin. Today we went off into the forest and became mini Darwins! We observed nature and sketched four different things.

In Music we have created a soundscape. We used our body parts to make music that represented the piece of music we listened to. Excellent partner work!

In English we have planned our own diary entry about a day on the moon inspired by the story “The Man on the Moon”

We have had some excellent home learning shared this week! Well done everyone!

We enjoyed using the iPad to take photos of each others creations

Our every day exercise and calm brain activities have been really great at helping our bodies get ready for learning

In Maths we have been thinking about partitioning numbers into tens and ones.

Well done to our School Councillor and Eco Councillor for attending their first meeting this week!

Our Darwin Value activity for Changeability was to create a flower, we made some wonderful ones!

Exploring our new library books!
